Privacy policy
This policy explains how ADDAW processes personal data in connection with the web accessibility widget (plugin), the associated private panel, and related communications (e.g. contact or registration forms).
Controller
- Identity: ADDAW — Association for the right to web accessibility.
- Email: admin@addaw.com
Purposes and legal bases
- Account management and service delivery (sign-in, authentication, billing where applicable, support): performance of a contract; legitimate interests in service security.
- Technical operation of the widget: load the script on the customer domain, apply configuration linked to the account and, if enabled, receive aggregated usage statistics (e.g. counts by domain or action type) without identifying end visitors of the customer site.
- Handling enquiries sent via contact forms: legitimate interest or consent as appropriate.
- Legal compliance: where required by law.
Categories of data (indicative)
- Identity and contact details of the customer or panel user.
- Standard online service data: IP address, session identifiers, security logs, device/browser data in server logs.
- Information needed to authorise the widget on specific domains or sites.
- Content of messages you send us.
Widget on the customer site
The widget runs in the visitor’s browser. Accessibility preferences may be stored in the browser’s local storage on the customer site to remember settings between visits. That storage is under the control of the site owner and the customer site policies; ADDAW does not use it for profiling individuals or for advertising.
Recipients and processors
Data may be shared with subprocessors (e.g. hosting, email, infrastructure) under GDPR-compliant arrangements. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
If providers are located outside the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard clauses or other valid mechanisms.
Retention
Data are kept as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law. Technical logs may be retained for limited security and diagnostic periods.
Your rights
You may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability where applicable, and withdraw consent, by writing to admin@addaw.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Updates
ADDAW may update this policy; the current version will be published on this page.
